On Again, Off Again

On Again, Off Again, is the result of a joint Capstone Project between Philadelphia’s Drexel University and Seoul’s Sungkyunkwan University. Following an Intensive Course Abroad where I was exposed to research and development industry practices, a group of SKKU students and a Drexel student were tasked with creating a complete look using garments provided by Seoul-based sustainable fashion brand, RE;CODE. A genderless look was created based on a collaborative personal design ethos. Two pairs of cream jeans were deconstructed and reconstructed into a satchel bag. The design lines on the bag’s extended flap replicate the outline of a blazer lapel. The bag compliments a reworked vest and a pair of trousers.
