De/Reconstruction

De/Reconstruction focuses on sustainable practices and the issue of overproduction in the fashion industry. With two-person teams, thrifted clothing from Goodwill gets reinvented into new contemporary pieces. Denim jeans went through color removal and dyed black for a reconstructed jean jacket. A jersey t-shirt was converted into an asymmetric top with jump ring details. Excess fabrics create a classic mini circle skirt and an overlay piece that can be styled with the skirt or as a bandana.
